Markazi Jamia Masjid or Central Jamia Masjid is one of the prime importance and close to the hearts of all people of Ladhoo. Talking about is location, it is situated in the hotspot of village, that is culturally, ethically and spiritually the most richest area of Ladhoo.

It is located in the nagbal region of village, adjacent to the unique historical monument, The Ancient Temple, and it's eye-catching view is accessible via Ladhoo-Lethpora road.

It lies under the foothills of Ghope bal, a famous hillock possessing the cave carved in, where Kashmir's famous and eminent sufi saint Hazrat Sheikh ul Aalam r.a spent almost it's precious 12 years of life for spiritual enlightenment. It seems as if the masjid is in the aura of spirituality like from its backside is situated the first ever Jamia Masjid of village that is Masjid-e- Salar ud din which is standing still to this date. In the Southwest direction to its vicinity is the site (locally known as Rozeh) which is believed as the site where Hazrat Ameer Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani r.a used to pray and address to folks.

The Markazi Jamia Masjid lying under the shade of chinars is unique in architecture and comprises of two story basic foundation, place for worship and a Hamam (common place for making ablution) adjacent to it. At its extreme back-end the two towers (Minars) are built, which further add beauty to it, a typical and signature mark of islamic architecture.

The two towers/Minars serves as the entrance to the both the masjid (groud floor & first floor) as well the compound and a park established at the back side of the masjid. In addition to that these are yet utilized for the prime purpose of the construction that is to call people for salaah (prayer).

The main entrance of the masjid is decorated with an stone-made Arch which was at that time considered a dream to be built, but finally the shape to this dream was given by a local Mason namely Late Gul Mohamad Ahanger.

The Central Jamia was built around 1980s (ie 1400H of Islamic era) and the construction was fully supported by locals as well as by the people of surrounding villages like Gundbal, Mandakpal, Androosa and Dussu. All they came together to support in whatever way they can, even some did the Labour's job for the construction of second Jamia Masjid of Ladhoo (first Jamia being in terms of size).

And this was the affection and love of neighboring villagers towards village Ladhoo which can be even witnessed today in the form this marvelous Masjid.

The another verse of beauty is drawn by the Sanz-Haer nag, the natural spring by reflecting it's image. The Masjid has got the accessibility to this Pond where people can easily access for making ablution.

The central Jamia Masjid of Ladhoo is of it's first rank in terms of accommodation. But it ranks second in terms of it's establishment as the first Jamia Masjid of Ladhoo was Masjid-e-Salar ud din, a beautiful hexagonal shaped Masjid.

The Friday congregational prayer attracts not only the locals but the folks from surrounding villages, mainly from Gundbal, Androosa Mandakpal & Dussu and as well from different institutions, factories or other sectors.

We invite you all to pay a visit once in your life time to feel it's essence.

Thank you.
